Emily Rhea

Right now my sister, my mom and I are enjoying the cool moutain air. My sister, Olivia, is enrolled in the Lmaplighter Guild for Creative Disaplinces and it is being held at an old restored Vistorian Castle. I have the amazing priviledge to come along and soak in the imense beauty of our Creator. This morning I got up early and read the Word cuddled up in a rocking chair overlooking the lake, with the massive moutains towering overhead...a cool breeze fluttered about me...ahh...bliss. (That was the writer in me...sorry)

However, my camera has yet to arrive, so I'm so sorry, but we may have no pictures this week!

I am taking a photograhy course this week while we're here, and I'm praying my camera arrives soon. (We shipped it ahead)

Olivia has the honor to study under Mark Hamby, John Campbell, John Fornof, Todd Bustead, and others who serve on the Lamplighter staff. I was able to listen to Mark Hamby's devotional this morning: what a blessing!

The pictures cannot give this resort justice. It is truly one of the most beautiful places I've been-EVER!

Emily Week Five

I am so excited! My photography is taking off. A few local stores downtown have asked for a total of about 15 photos! I even sold one today. (my first sale:) Please pray for God's will to be done...I'm really excited about where it's heading though. Actually, right now, I can hear the printer printing off the pictures. (for those of you who don't know, my dad owns a print shop) I can't wait to see them framed!
This is a picture I took of our sunflowers. We had so many blooming, but this was the prettiest.
By the way, thanks to all who endured my last post with my brother! :)

Emily Week Three

Yesterday we went with some friends to a nearby organic blueberry patch and picked about five gallons. We went about 6:30 in the morning, trying to beat the heat. It turned out beautiful! A slight breeze was blowing and the trees were full of ripe beautiful blueberries! We had a great time! (We even had a blueberry fight or two.) :)

I didn't think I liked them, but these were the best fruit I ever had! (It turned out to be a great breakfast too.)

Norma took these pictures for me since I forgot my camera. (What kind of photographer am I??)

Emily week two

Yesterday we were knee-deep in granola. You see, my cousin owns some frozen yogurt store called "Yoforia" in North Carolina nad he asked us to make our handmade granola for his toppings. So, each week, we girls are making over 200 pounds of granola! It's all organic, fresh ingredients and it goes well with his healthy yogurt stores.

The other picture is of our Rose of Sharon that recently bloomed outside our front door. I thought it was so pretty that I had to post it.
