"

"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; ..." ~ Ecclesiastes 3:1-22

Rebekah Joy ~ Snowboarding!

Hello!

Yes, yes... I haven't posted for a long time. Sorry. Well, there's not much to say. Just: I went snowboarding last week! For the first time! :) It was REALLY really really fun! In pictures, here's what it was like:

When I went up, I imagined myself doing this:

But, surprise, surprise! I ended up doing this:

Then, after a little bit of this...

And more of this:

I ended up doing this:

And, a picture of my brother and I:
We had fun, and he was a FABULOUS teacher!

Rebekah Joy ~ Mystery Theme Week

And... drumroll... here's my picture for this week's mystery theme! That's our cat. He has several names: Hunter (haha... that's a good one! He's really lazy... Indicated by this picture, of course), Buff (a mixture of "Big" and "Fluff"), Baloney (Don't ask me how he got that one.), Fat Cat (made up by Your's Truly), Fluffy(obviously), and about a million other names.

SAICFF - Rebekah Joy

Hello Every one!

I'm not very creative today, so I'm just posting a picture of the 2010 Robin Hood. I liked this version of Robin Hood way better mostly because they didn't portray him as a cocky and arrogant man with too much ego. It was well done. Anyways, in light of SAICFF being this week: I'm really excited about what's going on in the Christian film industry and I think a lot of the film makers are improving! :) I didn't go to the festival, but my dad, my brother, and my little sister are there right now. So, I'm gonna go now... Bye, ya'll!

Valentine's Day Theme ~ Rebekah Joy

Well, I do know that we're technically supposed to post pictures of hearts, but I didn't take one, so here's some other ones that have to do with the theme. They were actually from last Valentine's Day, so it's kind of an old picture. Last Valentine's, my sisters, our brother, and a ton of friends from church helped put together a dinner for a few different couples. There were a lot of couples there, and it was SO much fun! :) Here are some pictures from that fabulous day:

Roses!!!

The Whole Group (My brother, Daniel, is the boy in the tie, vest, and white apron. My older sister, Em has the red checkered shirt and blonde hair. Abby is the youngest in our family and the shortest in the picture. Bethany, the sister right below me in age has the striped pink and green sweater on. I think every one already knows what I look like. All the other people are friends!)

This Valentine's Day, we (the girls) made a special dinner, and sent Daddy and Mommy to their room with candles lit and a table for two. It was quiet, but fun.

I know a lot of people think of Valentine's Day as a mushy, lovey-dovey holiday, but it's not. Remember, the idea and example of love comes from God. "We love because He first loved us!" God is so amazing.

1 John 4:7-21

7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. 13Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. 14And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 16And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19We love him, because he first loved us. 20If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Week Something ~ Rebekah Joy

Hello!

Sorry for not posting for a while. Lately, my older sister and I have been working on putting together a musical review with songs from different Broadway musicals, and my favorite hat happened to be at the theatre, waiting to be used as a costume, but now I have it back, and here is my picture:
And, for good measure, a picture of my puppy... (Just for fun.)~Me

Rebekah Joy ~ Week Somethin'

Wow! I've been so busy, I forgot to post last week, so, I too have lost count. So, since there isn't really some thing in particular I'm supposed to post about, I will talk about... hunting! A few weeks ago, I went hunting for elk 2nd season, but I didn't get any thing. So, since I'm a "youth," I got to switch my tag over to late season. (Yay for being young!) This week, my daddy, my sister, and I went hunting on a private ranch. It was great! The place was CRAWLING with elk! Needless to say, my tag was filled! So, now we have a lot of meat. I can't wait to process it, but first, we have to let it hang... :) Here's a hunter's orange picture of my sister and I to go with the subject:

Rebekah Joy ~ Week 6

So, I'm in a predicament. I can't upload any pictures, and I'm not on a computer that has any pictures. So, for now, I'm just here to tell every one my plight. I will definitely upload pictures to this post as soon as possible, but I'm just posting this so that every one will know that I did not try to slack. Thank you.

Bye! ;)

Rebekah Joy ~ Week 5 (skipped 4)

Hi people!

I had a great week and a great Thanksgiving, and I'm hoping ya'll did too! I did go shopping today... (It's so ironic that Black Friday is RIGHT after Thanksgiving.) Tomorrow is my mother's birthday, then we have elk meat to process, and our family is leaving on a vacation to Florida not soon after. These next few weeks are so busy, and I'm SO excited for all of them! :) Here's the black&white picture we were supposed to post. It's my sister, Emily. I'm DEFINITELY thankful for her (even though we do have our moments). She's really good at improv cooking, so she's always the one that saves all my bland concoctions and turns them into gourmet food. Of course, she does a lot more than just that. She goes on runs with me, shares in my love for hunting and camping, and encourages me all the time. Yep, she's just that fantastic... Make sure you tell the people you're thankful for that you're thankful for them. It'll probably mean more to them than anything else!

Oh, and try to make a point of reading Psalm 104. It talks all about God's amazing creation, and it makes me so appreciative of every thing He creates!

Giving thanks even when it's not Thanksgiving,
Rebekah Joy

Rebekah Joy ~ Week 3 - Animals

Hi ya'll!

So, I have loved animals my entire life (which isn't too hard - they don't really ever say any thing too offensive), so the next few pictures are pictures that have been taken in the past two years. God is so awesome, and I feel SO blessed to have the shared task in taking dominion over his amazing creatures!

We took this picture on a camping trip. That is a pretty amazing bull elk!

We've cycled through so many cats, I've lost count. I think this one was our second cat.

This year, I finally got enough money to buy a bee-oo-ti-ful Siberian Husky! *smiles* - Her name is Maya, and that's my little sister, Abi, getting a "death-by-licking."

In Christ,
Rebekah Joy

Rebekah Joy ~ Week 2 (Yes, I'm Late... Oops)

Hi every one,

I was going to post yesterday, but I completely forgot. Wow, oops. :) Well, here's my post that was technically for yesterday:

I love babies. The pictures are of my cousin, both taken this year. It's amazing how fast they grow, isn't it? It also makes you treasure them all the more, knowing that they are going to grow up to be men and women eventually.

Just a few days after he was born in London, England (yes, we got to go and visit him) in March

Me holding him at 6 months old in the United States (they came and visited us) in September

Psalm 8:2 says:
"Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger."
