Well, Merry Christmas everyone! It's freezing cold and snowy here right now. And the world is just awful Christmas-y. :) I'm a sun flare addict so I love this picture....hehe. And now I'm off to work.

Patricia :: Thanksgiving

Here in Colorado the leaves are almost all gone. The trees are bare  now, which means Winter is coming. Brrrrrr. 

All those trees (well I guess we don't have a ton of them here) without leaves just looks so different to me. 

It looks: strange.different.odd.wrong.  Something just isn't right. But when I look at a tree these days, I remember the leaves it had during Summer and Fall, how beautiful it looked, and I know it's just part of God's plan.

We love beautiful things, but if everything was beautiful, we wouldn't even KNOW what beauty is. Funny how that works out. It's kind of a picture of how if we were perfect as humans then we wouldn't need God. Or even know that He is perfect. 

So I'm thankful for the leaves that go and come. And I'm thankful that I'm NOT perfect, so that's God's glory and perfectness can shine through me.

Patricia :: Cats

Eeeeeeeee! I'm late. And I'm sorry. Way back when we first started this blog, I was Tuesday, and I now I can't get it out of my head. Ahh well.
 
My picture is of a cat. Specifically a cat named Bella who lives in my grandparents neighborhood. She doesn't belong to anyone, but everyone feeds her. She roams around and often times turns up with some big cut or other. Quite the fighter. :) Besides that she is very affectionate, purring deeply  when getting stroked or when she's rubbing herself on your legs.

I like her. So THIS is Bella.

The picture below is most probably one the best pictures I have ever taken. I love it soso much! The girl jumping is my twin. She got up really early in the morning {just} so I could do a sunrise photoshoot of her. :) Warms my little heart.

Patricia :: {lizards} two-thousand and twelve

Good morning people,

I took this picture in Florida. Which you probably guessed considering Lizards are plentiful there. Seeing one always reminds me of my childhood growing up in the Sunshine State: swimming, catching lizards and snakes, going to the beach, and being little. 

It was the happiest time, just being ME as a shy-blue-eyed-bleach-blonde-kid-with-a-pixie-cut. 

But times change and we have to learn and grow as God teaches us new things. It's all part of life...and you know what? I wouldn't change it even if I could.

Patricia :: Summer Theme

Well, my Summer was amazing. (to say the least) 

The happiness began way back in July when (after two years of saving) I purchased a beautiful Canon Rebel camera.  I seriously love it SO much! So all the photos you see from me will be taken with it....unless I up-load on the go from the iphone. 

Anyways, after I had my camera it just made everything more fun: the late night Volleyball and Frisbee games, the mountain hikes, the cousins and grandparents visits, shopping with my friends, and the random get-together's with awesome people.  

But the MOST fun I've had with it was when my twin Mary, and my brother Robert and I went to Florida. We were there for 3 whole weeks, and it was just p.e.r.f.e.c.t.i.o.n.

My whole family loves it there, after all it's where we grew up, so going back to visit our relatives is always a treat. And every time the highlight is the beach! Ooohh. There is NEVER going to be a place I love more! When I'm older I'm going to buy a lil' beach house and live there, right where I can hear the ocean. :*) 

So the picture below I  took from underneath a pier at the beach. 

We stayed overnight in condo, and I even got to do a sunrise portrait shoot of Mary the next morning! It was beautiful. You'll probably be seeing some of those photos later because I like them lots. 

Well, I think that's my Summer....I feel really sad when I think about how it's over. The days are cold already here in Colorado. But at least I know my favorite season will come back next year. :*)

There.is.nothing.like.the.beach.


I took this in Clearwater Fl, and would you believe??? It was actually the very first time I had seen the sun SETTING on the beach! The places we usually go are on the East Coast, so all I have seen there is the sun rise. But now, I can say I've seen both:)

Green, green, grass! I am SO crazy excited for Summer, it's my favorite season, and I am looking forward to being warm. (and getting a tan) =D I took this last year in the field by our house. I think I will always enjoy photographing grass! Haha.

Well, Winter is slowly ending...And I am SO glad! I just saw this picture the other day though, and was reminded, I DO like cold weather outfits! Especially boots. I am a total sucker for them...With my newest favorites being, 'Combat Boots'. And that's what the picture is, Mary and I's matching combat boots.

Well, last week was one of THOSE weeks. If you know what I mean....It flew by so fast. And naturally I didn't get half the stuff done that was on my list..:P But memories were made, I learned more about God's Word, and I did get some things in my life figured out. :)
This picture is pretty un-creative, I just didn't have time to go actually TAKE a picture for my post today...I had to look in my old files. But I took it at a Cider pressing one of the family's in my church does every year! We always have lots of fun...And eat lots of 'apple' things.
The picture just amuses me, for no other reason than this, I have ALOT of nick-names, and so when I get a cup I never write a particular one, it's always different. So I sorta confuse myself when I'm looking for my glass. ;) I guess I just need to get better at recognizing my name(s)!!

Happy Valentines Day everyone! I personally LOVE this day, and spend a little too much time cutting out hearts and sending them to my relatives...But I just really like the idea of a day devoted to love. Love that you can have whether your single, or not! Because I'm single and I have it. :) Have a blessed day of LOVE.

Well good morning everyone! I am sad to say that at the moment I am SO busy I don't have leisure time to read anything but the Bible. So this is a book I read LAST, not one I'm reading now. It's called Anne of the Island and it is third in the Anne of Green Gables series. (which I love!) I personally like L. M. Montgomery's writing style alot so I read her books often. And I would definitely suggest you read them too!
