Esther Ruth.......

My grandfather taught me how to trim grass!  I have always thought "Oh it should be really easy" believe me, it's not that easy! :) It may have not been easy but I am super blessed to have a grandpa who teaches me new things! I really enjoyed learning something new!

 Homemade Ratatouille.... super yummy!

Andy's GoPro captured my sparkler fun at July 4th!  Super awesome!
We visited the Air Force Academy in Colorado. This is the gorgeous chapel. The stained glass brings in purple looking light...... soooooo breathtaking!

These are just a few of my summer highlight!  Looking forward to starting up again this fall!

Hello All! My brother Andy took me to his Senior banquet in January!  It was a mystery dinner in which everyone had a special part to play! It was a mock wedding and I played the brides grandmother and Andy was my son the brides uncle! (neither of us were the killer by the way! :)  It was a fun filled evening lots of laughing and trying to figure out who did it! Thanks Andy for taking me as your guest!

New things going on around here........

Hello Blog readers!

Thanks for being patience with me! Lots of new things going on in my life! First of all we are saying goodbye to Hanna and Tricia today!  I really enjoying having you both be a part of this blog! Love to you both!

Second we are welcoming Ashley to our team! We are excited for the blog to start up again! Please check back every week for a new post from the girl of the week! I pray this blog will be an encouragement for many! Here again is our missions statement if you have not read about the purpose of this blog:

Five Perspectives Blog
Mission Statement
The purpose of the Five Perspectives blog
is to encourage each other by sharing about our daily lives through pictures
and sharing Scripture verses that are impacting our lives to the Glory of Jesus Christ!
I Thessalonians 5:11 says,
“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”
Colossians 2:1-3 says,
“For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea
and for all who have not seen me face to face,
that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love,
to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery,
which is Christ,  in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
Philippians 2:1-2 says,
“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love,
any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy,
complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love,
being in full accord and of one mind.”

Esther.........

My Daddy, brothers and I went to a Nebraska Huskers football game a few weekends ago.  We had so much fun (and of course the Huskers WON!!!)! I really enjoying sitting with my Dad!  My brothers were in a another section of the station.  I am reminded of this verse in First Corinthians:

1 Corinthians 9:23-25 says:

"I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings. Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable."

Esther..............

"O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens." Psalms 8:1

"For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy."
 Psalms 92:4

My family and I were blessed to be able to vacation in Colorado together last month!  It was a BIG reminder to me of how the much the Lord has blessed us with His creation! I believe these pictures show just how much the Lord loves us!

May you all have a blessed week!

Esther is back........ :)

Hello Gals! Hope you are all doing well and enjoying life to its fullest!  I have been encouraged lately to enjoy serving others, enjoy the work the Lord gives me, and to appreciate the little lessons that the Lord is teaching us to become more like Him.  I have been REALLY encouraged by reading "Stepping Heavenward". If you haven't read it I would encourage you too. It tells the story of a young women trying to be more like Christ, of her struggles and triumphs, and how her relationship with Christ grows deeper as she learns to trust in Him!  She is a good example to me.

I also wanted to share about a blog that has been a big blessing in my life!  Lauren is a Godly young women who is seeking the Lord and encouraging others to do the same.  I have enjoyed seeing her perspective and her fun way of enjoying life as she honors the Lord!  Check out Lauren's blog Here!

One of Esther's favorite blog and a testimony.......

One of my favorite blogs is Six angles! I originally started Five Perspectives because Six angles gave me the idea, so therefore it has a special place in my heart! :)

Testimony:

I was working at the registration table during our homeschool conference and up walks this young couple to register, I noticed right away how joyful they were in every aspect!  They saw from my name tag that my name was Esther and they said that they had named their daughter Esther also.  They continued to tell me how the Lord showed them to name their daughter Esther.  I was really blessed by their conversation and right before they left, they asked me how could they pray for me.....!!! Here I was wrapped up in the all the activity of our homeschool conference, but this couple took their time to stop and pray for me!  I was extremely blessed by them!  It really reminded me to not get so focused on different things, because it made me forget who I am wanting to serve in the first place!  Jesus, may I be bringing glory to your name!  Thank you, sweet young couple for being SUCH an awesome example to me!!!!!  May God bless you!

Esther = ready for summer (not summer heat just summer fun :)!!!!!

(Me getting soaked with a water balloon :)

I was looking through my photos and found this one!  Here is the story......

We were having a family picnic and there was a contest for who could catch a  water balloon that my Dad would throw as far into the sky as possible!  So we lined up and a few minutes later I ended up being soaked, literally SOAKED!!!  Hey, it was really fun and everyone got a good laugh out of it!

Proverbs 17: 22a says, "A joyful heart is good medicine."

Esther's favorite Music........

(Okay, a random picture plus a song below for our music theme this week :)

One of my favorite songs is "In Christ Alone."  It reminds me how without Christ we can do nothing at all!

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when striving cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless Babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save

Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live, I live

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in victory
Sins curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From a life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny

No power of hell, no scheme of man
Could ever pluck me from His hand

Til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I stand

Esther Ruth.......

My sister Katie and brother Billy introduced me to "Sherlock Holmes." When I first started reading it I thought "Okay, this is pretty good."  By the end of the first chapter I thought "Wow, this is REALLY good!" I am really enjoying it!  It's suspenseful and yet not; it's funny yet sometimes it makes me cry, but on top of all of that it is written very well!  Thanks, Katie and Billy for introducing it to me!

Esther Ruth......

L-R: my sister Katie, ME, my sister Amy and my brother Andy.

Before Christmas we had the opportunity to go to Silver Dollar City.  It is a Christian owned amusement park in southern Missouri.  My siblings (minus my brother Billy) and I  had such a fun time seeing different shows and riding the roller coasters in the middle of winter (it did get pretty cold when we were traveling at speeds up to 66 mph).

Remember to enjoy special times with your family!
