Rebekah Joy ~ Week Somethin'

Wow! I've been so busy, I forgot to post last week, so, I too have lost count. So, since there isn't really some thing in particular I'm supposed to post about, I will talk about... hunting! A few weeks ago, I went hunting for elk 2nd season, but I didn't get any thing. So, since I'm a "youth," I got to switch my tag over to late season. (Yay for being young!) This week, my daddy, my sister, and I went hunting on a private ranch. It was great! The place was CRAWLING with elk! Needless to say, my tag was filled! So, now we have a lot of meat. I can't wait to process it, but first, we have to let it hang... :) Here's a hunter's orange picture of my sister and I to go with the subject:

  1. Good job. :) :) I like hunting too, but sometimes the big brown eyes just get me... ;) I always found hunting in CO more fun then in WI (um...there are less sub zero temps there, at least where we were hunting) Go figure that I would have a cow tag and see nothing but ABSOLUTELY GIGANTIC MONSTER (possibly record setting in one case) BULLS!!!! Dad was so irritated. He had a cow tag too. The our friend, who had a bull tag for the next week only saw cows and not a single bull!! (facepalm) At least it was some good father/daughter time. I'm so glad you had better "luck" then us!

  2. Oh, that's too bad. I've had a couple times when I was all ready to shoot, then I found out that my safety was on. :) Oops... I hope you get some thing some time. :)

  3. Lol. I've done that. :) I hope so too. Dad has been going out the most this year, and he's seen some (whitetail) but we have some monsters in our woods, so he's waiting for them. (One we guessed will score between 90 and 120!!) :)
