Esther's favorite Music........

                                       (Okay, a random picture plus a song below for our music theme this week :)

One of my favorite songs is "In Christ Alone."  It reminds me how without Christ we can do nothing at all!

In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm

What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when striving cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand

In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless Babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save

Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live, I live

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again

And as He stands in victory
Sins curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From a life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny

No power of hell, no scheme of man
Could ever pluck me from His hand

Til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I stand

Amy....piano!

"Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!" Psalm 100:1

Piano is one musical instrument that I have learned to play and I have recently been taking lessons again, so my playing has been sounding much better!
Our piano is a Clavinova from Yamaha and our family purchased it many years ago.
It is an electric piano with all the benefits of a real piano such as weighted keys & accurate sound.
It sits in our family room, right in the center of our home.
I am so thankful to have the opportunity to learn how to use it better.

Harp Music

My friend playing the harp, beautifully!

Yesterday I had the joy of playing the harp!
But I'm far from the way my friend plays! She plays AMAZINGLY! The harp is such a beautiful instrument, and every time I hear it's light, flowing vibrations, it just makes me feel ever filled with peace in Jesus!

Esther's Black and White picture.........

This is a picture of a beautiful path near our house! I am so looking forward to spring time....... :)

"Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain, from the Lord who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field."

Amy

In December of last year, my siblings and I made a kids' trip to Branson to stay with some friends (my brother Billy joined us for the trip but stayed with our friends while we went to Silver Dollar City).  We had such a great time at this fun theme park....it was amazing to be there during Christmas with all the lights!

 I am so thankful to be part of our family :)

"My son, keep my words and treasure up my commandments with you;
keep my commandments and live; keep my teaching as the apple of your eye;
bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.
Say to wisdom, "You are my sister," and call insight your intimate friend."
Proverbs 7:1-4

The blessing of friends~ Ephesians 4:29-32

A few months ago, me and some friends went for a special girls day out tea-party!
We got LOTS of fun pictures, but here are a few of my favorites!
 "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."
 Ephesians 4:29-32

Beautiful Weather in Colorado

In February me and my family went to Love Land Colorado and went skiing! The weather, despite the freezing wind, was beautiful. All the snow swirled around us as we flew down the hill!

Exodus 14:14
The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Amy :: trees in the snow

I took this photo outside of our church after our 2nd snow of 12 inches a few weeks ago.
It was so beautiful...now it is almost all gone, but we enjoyed it while it lasted!

For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
he stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
guarding the paths of justice
and watching over the way of his saints.

Proverbs 2:6-8

Snow!

From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the Lord is to be praised. Psalm 113:3

I took these pictures right after the big snow storm Kansas, as well as other states, received. We had around 1 foot of snow!
A true blessing from the Lord!

Amy

     One of my grandmother's favorite hobbies is china painting.  She is teaching my sisters and a few cousins and I how to paint wild roses.  This is a picture of my plate that is partly finished.  (After you paint the first time, you fire it in a kiln-something like an oven that reaches over 2000 degrees farenheit.  This makes the paint stay on so it won't wash off.  After that you paint another layer, fire it again and then paint and fire it a third time too.  Quite a process for beautiful china :)
I am so thankful for my grandmother and her willingness to work patiently with us and teach us something that she loves to do!  It is so special to have time with her.

"But let all who take refuge in You rejoice;
let them ever sing for joy,
and spread Your protection over them,
that those who love Your name may exult in You.
For You bless the righteous, O LORD;
You cover him with favor as with a shield."

Psalm 5:11-12
