Amy

     One of my grandmother's favorite hobbies is china painting.  She is teaching my sisters and a few cousins and I how to paint wild roses.  This is a picture of my plate that is partly finished.  (After you paint the first time, you fire it in a kiln-something like an oven that reaches over 2000 degrees farenheit.  This makes the paint stay on so it won't wash off.  After that you paint another layer, fire it again and then paint and fire it a third time too.  Quite a process for beautiful china :)
I am so thankful for my grandmother and her willingness to work patiently with us and teach us something that she loves to do!  It is so special to have time with her.

"But let all who take refuge in You rejoice;
let them ever sing for joy,
and spread Your protection over them,
that those who love Your name may exult in You.
For You bless the righteous, O LORD;
You cover him with favor as with a shield."

Psalm 5:11-12
