Esther ~Week 22~

L-R : Warpaint and Macerena.

Good evening to ya'll! We are enjoying a fun family night!  I had the privilege to work at a Pumpkin farm this October. This is my 4th year in a row working there. I worked with the ponies (as you can see in the picture). These ponies are brothers and whenever they are left alone they act so cute together!  I didn't move them into this position, they just naturally did this pose for me.  Great, huh?!!!

 Psalms 20:7,
"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
 But we will remember the name of the LORD our God."
May God bless all of you! ~ Esther

Week 13~Natalya~Fall themed!!!

It's very very fall up here in WI. :) Very cold is what that means. :) Believe it or not we DO have modern technology up here (like indoor heating and paved roads) but we still use a good old fashioned wood stove to warm up the living room. (partly just cause it looks beautiful) anyway...It's only a few degrees above freezing here some mornings with average temps during the day being low to mid 40's, it seems a bit colder cause it's very moist up here (that means humid in summer and wet in winter) and with wind chill...enough weather report, on to the picture!!!

I didn't take these photos, and they're from a few years ago. My birth-mom and little sister came over for the day and we did a photo shoot (when you have as fancy a camera as she does and family you don't get to see often...why not?)

This one is one of my favorite pictures of the area around our house. Most of the leaves are gone now, but I live in a world of gold when it's like this. Our entire woods (and we have about 6 acres) is gold. :) It's breathtaking (we had a really strange golden fall this year too, it was in the 70's and 80's!!!! That's never happened before that I remember!!!)
This one is of me!!! My mom (adopted mom) made me a beautiful blue regency gown!!! (yes, I was quite cold since it was a few years ago when the golden fall days were NOT 70's and 80's) "Was that swing to small for you?" Yup. ;) Anything for a picture right? It was not the most pleasant position, but it looks good. :) (btw, that non-tree post you see beside me is one of the support beams for our two story tree house built on one of the biggest oaks I've ever seen. We have a zip-line, the swing, a climbing rope, a slide, and lots of other stuff on it too. It's pretty fun.)

I really do live in a beautiful place. :)

...::Patricia::...{Week ? (yes I've lost count) }

Fall.
Honestly, that's all there is to say. I like Fall, but because it's the prequel to Winter it has never been my favorite season...Well, it soon will be thetime for chapped lips, cold toes and dry hands. I can't say I'm happy, but I'm not completely dis-heartened:)
I hope you like Fall!

Esther ~Week 21~

The small pumpkin in this picture is the same as the one in the picture below, my brother Andy bought this big pumpkin for our family!Isn't it really super big?!!!

The fall season is a fun time to take pictures outside, enjoy warm drinks, and enjoy your family in the crisp evenings!  The Lord has truly shown his love for us through different things, such as fall!  Fall is a time we can enjoy the great outdoors and witness His mighty hand at work!

Daniel 2:21 says,
"And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding."

What's your favorite fall activity?

Natalya~week 20~Picture of my family

Um...we don't really do family pictures so these are from last Christmas.

Pro 6:20 My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother.
But, I have more then one family. I'm adopted. :) That means I have two moms and two dads. I have a brother and a sister (even though I don't see half of those people very often, and one I haven't ever met!)
So, here's a picture of my sister and I. :)
And this is one of my grandma, my sister, and I:
Family resemblance? :)

...::Patricia::.... {Week...I lost count:}

Okay. I went to post today and realized I have no recent pictures of my family! Crazy. So here is a compilation of some different photos. All my family members should be in at least one:)
My Mom with her mom.
My only brother, Robert still likes to climb trees at the age of 20 almost 21.
My dad and my oldest sister Katie. (she is 22)
My cousin Cora (left), and my 19 year old sister Elizabeth.
Me, Katie and my twin Mary on the way to Breckenridge.
Me, Mary (were 15 almost 16) and our good friend Anna!

Well, I hope that wasn't too confusing:) But that's my family.
Au Revoir,
Patricia

Esther ~Week 20~

Left to Right: Andy, Katie, Amy, Daddy, Mommy, Me (Esther), and Billy.

This is my wonderful Family!  I am so blessed by the Lord for such a awesome family.

Psalms 127:
Unless the LORD builds the house,
        They labor in vain who build it;
         Unless the LORD guards the city,
         The watchman stays awake in vain.
 It is vain for you to rise up early,
         To sit up late,
         To eat the bread of sorrows;
         For so He gives His beloved sleep.

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD,
         The fruit of the womb is a reward.
          Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
         So are the children of one’s youth.

 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them;
         They shall not be ashamed,
         But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

Check back each day for a post on this week’s theme…

Natalya~week~19~Bible Verse Theme

A few years ago my family and I went to Colorado for Elk Hunting. (of course we would have a cow tag when only bulls showed up...figures...) but we got some good pictures. :)

My mom took this one of my brother (in green) and his friend playing on some of the massive rock formations.

My adventurous boys! :)

..::Patricia::....(Week 19?)

I'm cheating and posting four pictures today....;}

(^^^Above is Switchfoot's lead singer, Jon Foreman)
So this week's theme was a bible verse. Mine on the picture below is my life verse, Romans 15:13.

All of these pictures are from an Anberlinand Switchfoot concert we went to last Friday. I an really happy I got some pictures so I can remember it always!! :)

(This is Stephen, the lead singer for Anberlin)
Music is a great way to be uplifted and worship God, but as always, anything us humans enjoy can be an idol. I know that there were people there just to party. But for me the concert was really God-honoring, and it was nice being able to worship Him with nobody's eyes on you...I think I need prayer to not be afraid of man!
Have a blessed week!
Au revoir,
Patricia

Elaine~Week 18

It is funny that we all have done acting for our pictures! My sisters and I are on the American Girl Drama Team. We do american girl stories when we are younger, but as we get older the productions become more challenging, such as "Little Women" and "Lost and Foundling".
These are our dresses from a few Colonial and Prairie performances. (The first picture doesn't really look like me, but oh well.) I have been reminded lately how special my sisters are, and how it should be considered precious to have siblings to share life with.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 "Two are better than one because they have a better return for their labor. If either falls down, the other is there to catch them. Pity anyone who falls and has no one there for them to help them up again. Also, when two lie down beside each other, they keep warm and how can one be warm by themselves? Although one person may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A chord of three ropes is not easily broken."

Natalya~Week 18~Pic of myself theme!

Hello!

Well, it seems quiet a few of us are posting a picture of ourselves reenacting, so I think I'll have a shot at that one. ;)

I did some historical reenacting and volunteering at a beautiful 37 building pioneer village museum by us. It's a beautiful place. Their buildings include a 19th century church, an old post office, old fashioned stocks for guests to take pics in, (I can't describe how funny it is to watch that.) A small outdoor restaurant, a gigantic display building, 4 machinery buildings, looms (I hear they take 24hrs to thread...), and so much more.

My favorite little spot there (ok, one of my favorite little spots there) was the house. 11 people (one family) lived in that little tiny space. :) Apparently there is a bit of an attic that housed some of the children through a door and up the stairs, but that's all been closed off for safety reasons. However, they do have some beautiful old furniture there to see, and (being a volunteer) I was allowed to touch things when I explained to guests. One of my friends took this picture of me pretending to work the spinning wheel. :)

(I fixed the low-res problem!!!)

Yup, I know I look sweaty and hot, but I am wearing all my period correct layers and it was almost 90 degrees that day. ;) I made the dress and haversack. The parasol I got for Christmas a few years ago, and it's from Vision Forum. If you look closely there's a white handkerchief tucked into my apron (which a friend made for me) and it's embroidered. That belonged to my grandma. :) The boots (even though you can't really see them here) are Lace Up Ropers, or Woman's Rodeo Boots. They have rubber soles (oh well...) but they're very comfortable and look super authentic. :)

See that white thing wrapped around my left hand? That's my string. :) All day I went around to all the young guests and showed them string games. The interactive ones were the most fun for them I think. I even met some girls who knew how to play Cat's cradle! Since they were the only guests I met who knew how I played it with some of my other friends who were reenacting and showed the guests. It was a big hit. There was one little boy in particular who loved the string games. (he was so cute!) I was sitting on the steps of the church giving a break to the person stationed there when he came up to me. I didn't see his parents near by, so I though decided to occupy him so he would stay in one place. (The church is big and can be seen from all of "main-street" and he was wearing red so I figured his parents would see us) I caught his attention by doing the "winking eye" at him. He giggled and came up to play with me. He looked about three. Eventually his dad and sister saw him and came a got him. Several times later during the day I saw him looking at me and sometimes he would follow me (with his dad and sister following him!!) And ask to play again. It was SO CUTE.

Psa 34:11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

Never forget that History (as dry as those textbooks make it sometimes) is part of learning the fear of the Lord. Can you imagine what it would be like to leave your home like the pioneers did? Most of you have moved before, but you probably moved somewhere that had a bathroom and a stove or a microwave. None of that in pioneer times.

Here's a game for you! See those carders in the picture? (The rectangle things with handles on them?) Those were used to clean out any burs from the wool, and it helped to smooth it so it could be spun. Anyway, see the "table" it's sitting on? Can anyone guess what it is? If you look really close you can tell. :)

...::Patricia::...(Week 17?)

So the theme for this week is a picture of yourself.
It isn't my best look but I love Robert Gesi's face:) He is such a cutie!
This was at Living History, the colonial re-enactment group I'm in! It's the same one Beeka does.
It is absolutely fantastic.
This time I was a Camp Follower, one of the ladies who moves around with the Militia and does odd jobs for them. It was really fun, even though I missed being in our french Drama....next time I am definitely signing up:D
( the picture was taken by Sarah, our official LH photographer. You can see more photos here: photographybysm.blogspot.com )

Rebekah

I know Friday is my day to post, but we
were in the middle of our Colonial Living History days!
It's an 18th century reenactment ministry.

The drama crew did an great job!!

The Battle of Rhode Island.

I think the public really enjoyed all the hands on stuff.

~ Deuteronomy 4:32 ~

For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

Esther ~Week 18~

I am a senior in high school, so my sister Katie has taken me out a couple times for pictures!  This picture was taken at a garden close to our house! It was a rainy day but we had planned this day for a couple of weeks so we ended up just going and it didn't rain till we left! I love my sister Katie so much and this post is in honor of her, because she took time out of her busy schedule to take pictures of me. Thank you Katie and I love you so much!

I Corinthians 13:13 says,
"And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love."

Check back each day for a post on this week’s theme…

A recent photo of ourselves – so you can get to know each of us a little better.
